Per the cooperation, AVATR and bp plan to establish more than 100 standardized high-voltage fast-charging stations in 19 Chinese cities. The stations should have 480kW of power on average, with a single charging gun delivering a maximum power of 240kW. The duo aims to realize the goal of replenishing 200km of range with a 10-minute charging session.
The partnership with bp signified the official step forward in AVATR’s high-voltage fast charging development. AVATR users will be able to look up bp stations nearby via the AVATR mobile application. The highly efficient replenishment experience may be available for users in China’s metropolises such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou as early as the end of the year.
Moreover, the cooperation made AVATR the first SEV (smart electric vehicle) brand to layout a high-voltage charging network on a large scale. The brand’s first production model, the AVATR 11, will also be the first vehicle model in China enabled with 240kW high-voltage quick charge capability.
