The G9 boasts a new powertrain system using China’s first 800V mass-produced Silicon Carbide (SiC) platform. Supported by XPeng's new 480kW S4 supercharging stations, the 4C version of the G9 can be provided with up to 200km of CLTC range in a five-minute charging session, which means that the vehicle can charge from 10% to 80% of its battery capacity in only 15 minutes. Meanwhile, the standard 3C version can charge from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes.

The G9 adopts a drag-reducing style, a high-voltage SiC powertrain with advanced power distribution, and an energy recovery system to minimize power consumption while maximizing driving range.

Intelligence-wise, the G9 is powered by XPeng's second-generation ADAS, XNGP, the industry’s first full-scenario driver assistance system.

The X Version of the G9 is equipped with dual NVIDIA DRIVE Orin chips, which deliver 508TOPS of computing performance. The 31 sensors, a front-view camera for advanced object detection, and its front-mounting dual-LiDAR sensors help the G9 to minimize blind spots.

The E version of the G9 come standard with the automaker’s first-generation ADAS, XPILOT.

In addition, XPeng developed an enhanced Advanced Emergency Braking (AEB) system on both the E and X versions of the G9.
