DJI Automotive unveils new intelligent driving solution ‘Cheng Xing’

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On July 27, DJI Automotive officially announced the name of its new-generation intelligent driving solution, "Cheng Xing."

The name reflects the mission of facilitating users' delightful travel experiences through flexible configurations, user-friendly accessibility, and exceptional quality, said the company. The first mass-produced vehicle equipped with the foundational version of the Cheng Xing platform is set to hit the market in a few weeks.

Originally unveiled in early April, the standout feature of the Cheng Xing platform is its remarkable computing power, starting from as low as 32TOPS, combined with a pure vision configuration of 7V/9V. Utilizing strong vision online real-time perception, without depending on HD map or LiDAR, this platform achieves L2+ intelligent driving capabilities, including urban memory driving (32TOPS) and urban navigation driving (80TOPS). 

Moreover, the pure vision-based intelligent driving system supports additional sensors such as millimeter-wave radar, ultrasonic radar, LiDAR, and high-precision maps, further enhancing performance and safety redundancy in extreme scenarios.

The most distinctive hardware feature of the Cheng Xing platform is DJI Automotive's unique inertial navigation stereo binocular system. Employing visual principles akin to human eyes, this system generates dense point clouds to discern distance information accurately. As a result, the Cheng Xing platform excels not only in recognizing obstacles of various types but also in generalizing scenes effectively with limited data accumulation. 

Furthermore, the Cheng Xing platform achieves seamless BEV (Bird's Eye View ) perception of pilot and parking through the implementation of Open Space Planning (OSP) technology. This enables the platform to enhance intelligent driving efficiency while ensuring safety on both open city roads and enclosed highways, expressways, and parking environments.
