From samar.pl| April 26 , 2007 20:04 BJT

According to a recent poll conducted by TNS OBOP, a mere 11% of cars that Polish motorists bought last year were brand-new ones.
Of the remaining 89%, the majority were vehicles of more than 6 years old, coming mostly from Germany.

At 23% (2005: 34%), the majority of used cars last year were private imports, followed by vehicles provided by local retailers (18%) and those sold directly by previous users (18%; 2005: 16%).

Significantly, there has been an increase in the number of Poles saying they bought a car looking for deals on the web.
