Statement by FAW-Volkswagen Audi Dealers: SAIC-Audi Project Continue to be Shelved?

After more than two months, Audi dealers incident finally usher in a new progress.

On February 16th, CADA Audi dealers association was established in Sanya, at the inaugural meeting, the FAW - Volkswagen Audi dealers issued the "Sanya Declaration". The statement said, FAW - Volkswagen dealers understand that Audi wants to maintain the first potential strategic target in the China luxury car market, the dealers are willing to join hands with Audi together to achieve 1 million sales target of 2020 strategic, after the goal is reached, they will not against Audi’s evaluation and selection of new partners and establish new sales network in China.

The statement involves a total of five items, in addition to the above mentioned items , the FAW - Volkswagen Audi dealers also proposed other three demands: First, Audi company should establish a reasonable business policy with FAW-Volkswagen Sales Department, guarantee the healthy and orderly development of the network channels; second, the two sides negotiate on channels surplus, which is based on the sales target number of 1 million in 2020 strategies and 580 network. Audi accounts for the loss caused by network excess according to the actual sales and provides reasonable solutions for dealers; third, Audi and FAW-Volkswagen Sales Department sign a five-year agreement with the dealer membership. After the announcement of the automobile sales management approaches and other laws and regulations , renewing the agreement in accordance with the provisions.

According to the requirements by Audi dealers association, SAIC-Audi project will continue to be shelved. whether can be advanced is not certain until 2020. But until now, Audi has not made any response to this.
