Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The conventional peak season, “golden September”, seemingly has not reversed the downward trend in China’s PV sales in 2019. The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) saw a year-on-year (YoY) decline of 17% in the average daily sales, 38,000 PVs, in the first three weeks in September.
SAIC MAXUS, a young pioneer in Chinese vehicle brand, has always maintained a compound annual growth of 70% since its establishment eight years ago. In 2019 September, it sold 11,303 units, soaring 84.45% over the previous period. The sales from Jan. to Sep. totaled 80,722 units at home and abroad, a YoY increase of 30.63%.
MAXUS’s overseas sales skyrocketed 116% in Sept. and the overall sales volume abroad in the first nine months reached 13,050 units, up by 19.48% YoY. 50,000 units have been sold across 48 foreign countries and regions up to now.
As to its LVs (light vehicles), the total sales of MAXUS V80 and V90 in September reached 3,259 units, surging 41.63%.
2,728 medium and large sized MPV, including the G10 PLUS and G20 models, were sold in Sept., a YoY growth of 30.34%.
The MPV G50 for family use has gained great popularity since it hit the market. The monthly sales reached 2,581 units and the sales from Jan. to Sep. stood at 20,646 units.
Besides, the company’s T60 and T70 pickups have a total delivery of 1,850 units in Sept, up by 28.29% YoY. The year-to-date sales amounted to 18,926 units, increasing 16.28% YoY.
Meanwhile, the medium sized customizable SUV model, the MAXUS D60 which came into the market in July, has gained popularity.
