The key upgrades center on BYD's 800V high-voltage FLASH-charging architecture and the second-generation Blade Battery. The SUV also receives the latest God's Eye - BYD Intelligent Driving System 5.0, while retaining features such as the DiSus-A intelligent air suspension and a six-seat 2+2+2 cabin configuration.

Visually, the N8L FLASH Charging Edition carries forward DENZA's signature styling language inspired by the Chinese character "門" (gate). The front fascia features a closed-off grille finished with matte chrome accents, complemented by a full-width matrix daytime running light strip and split LED headlamp clusters.
The lighting system supports adaptive cornering illumination, sequential turn indicators, and delayed headlamp shutoff functions. A roof-mounted LiDAR unit sits prominently above the windshield, serving as a key sensor for the vehicle's advanced driving assistance capabilities.
The SUV adopts a clean side profile with straight body lines and concealed window trim elements designed to reduce wind noise at highway speeds. Blacked-out A-, B-, C-, and D-pillars create a floating-roof effect, while a new dual-tone Danxia Red and Black exterior finish joins the color palette.
Twenty-inch alloy wheels are standard, while 21-inch aerodynamic wheels are available on higher-spec versions. The vehicle measures 5,200 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,820 mm in height, riding on a 3,075 mm wheelbase.
At the rear, the design echoes the front-end styling through a full-width matrix taillight assembly. Additional exterior details include a power-operated hidden tailgate, matte-finished lower body protection panels, and the absence of visible exhaust outlets.
Exclusive "FLASH Charging" badges and blue intelligent-driving indicator lights visually distinguish the model from the standard N8L.
Inside, DENZA has upgraded several cabin materials and finishes. Traditional plastic trim elements have been replaced with bright titanium-plated metallic accents on air vents, speaker grilles, door handles, and physical control switches. The center console incorporates illuminated natural wood trim panels.
The cabin features a six-screen digital ecosystem consisting of a 50-inch augmented reality head-up display, a 13.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 17.3-inch central infotainment screen, a 13.2-inch front passenger entertainment display, a 17.3-inch rear entertainment screen, and a 9-inch digital rearview mirror.
The system supports multi-screen connectivity, continuous voice interaction, and intelligent scenario-based controls across the vehicle.

The N8L FLASH Charging Edition adopts a fixed six-seat arrangement with a 2+2+2 layout. All variants come standard with Nappa leather seats. The first and second rows feature independent captain's chairs equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, while the front passenger seat offers a zero-gravity design with an adjustable leg rest. Heated third-row seats are also standard.
Comfort and convenience features include a 20-speaker Devialet audio system, intelligent cabin fragrance diffusion, an 11-liter heated and cooled refrigerator, rear-zone climate control, fold-out rear tray tables, multilayer acoustic privacy glass, 49 storage compartments, and multiple fast-charging ports throughout the cabin.
Advanced driver assistance is another major focus. Every version is equipped with the God's Eye - BYD Intelligent Driving System 5.0 powered by a single NVIDIA Orin-X processor delivering 254 TOPS of computing performance.
The perception suite combines one LiDAR sensor with 30 additional sensors, including 12 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and five millimeter-wave radars. Supported functions include highway navigation assistance, urban navigation assistance, automated lane changes, and fully automated parking capabilities.
According to DENZA, the system is designed to support a broad range of daily driving scenarios, from city commuting and long-distance travel to maneuvering in confined parking environments.
The centerpiece of the upgrade package is the new 800V FLASH-charging platform paired with a 75.26 kWh second-generation Blade Battery.
Power comes from a plug-in hybrid system combining a dedicated 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with three electric motors. The combustion engine delivers a maximum output of 152 kW, while total system output reaches 560 kW. DENZA claims acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in the three-second range.
Under the CLTC testing cycle, the vehicle offers a battery-powered driving range of 430 km and a combined range of 1,550 km with a full battery and fuel tank.
Charging performance has been significantly enhanced. When connected to BYD's proprietary FLASH-charging infrastructure, the battery can be replenished from 10% to 70% in five minutes, adding approximately 150 km of all-electric range. Charging from 10% to 97% takes nine minutes. DENZA also claims that charging times increase by only three minutes in temperatures as low as minus 30 degrees Celsius.
The chassis package includes the DiSus-A intelligent air suspension system, CDC adaptive damping technology, and a Road Preview 2.0 predictive suspension system as standard equipment.

A rear-wheel steering system capable of ±10 degrees of movement works in conjunction with BYD's vehicle dynamics control architecture, allowing the suspension to respond automatically to changing road conditions. As a result, the N8L achieves a turning radius of just 4.58 meters despite its full-size dimensions. Braking performance is supported by front six-piston high-performance brake calipers.
Safety features include a cage-style body structure constructed with 2,000 MPa hot-formed ultra-high-strength steel and nine standard airbags across the lineup. BYD's integrated vehicle stability system also supports tire blowout stabilization at high speeds, crosswind mitigation, and enhanced vehicle control on rain- and snow-covered roads.
The launch of the N8L FLASH Charging Edition highlights BYD and DENZA's push to combine ultra-fast charging, long-range plug-in hybrid technology, and increasingly sophisticated driver assistance functions in the premium SUV segment, where competition among Chinese automakers continues to intensify.
