Partnership scope
Yang Qing, Chairmanof Dongfeng Motor Corporation, said the automotive and energy sectors are becoming more closely integrated and that competition is extending beyond individual products to broader value-chain ecosystems. Dongfeng Motor wants to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism with CATL and support the development of a new energy system during China's 15th Five-Year Plan period, he added.
Zeng Yuqun, Chairman of CATL, said CATL would contribute its advanced battery technologies and global energy replenishment network to the partnership, working with Dongfeng Motor on joint innovation and customer applications.
