Total sales of Roewe, MG soar 70% year on year

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- According to data released by SAIC Group, the total sales of Roewe and MG from January to November were 467,092 units, up 70.01% year on year, while the sales of Roewe and MG in November were 54,098, up 28% year on year. Last month, the two brands launched two new models, RX3 and MG6. In the near future, Roewe and MG will launch more new energy vehicles and conventional models to meet the market demand, including Roewe Ei5, Vision-E mass-production version, and all-new Roewe midsize SUV.

Roewe and MG launched three new energy vehicle (NEV) models this year, ei6, ERX5 and plug-in hybrid e950. In addition, the October sales of ERX5, the first all-electric SUV model launched in June this year reached 2,811, accounting for 45.99% of the total October sales.

Besides, Roewe Ei5, providing a range of 310km and plug-in hybrid MG6, providing a range of 53 km, made their debut at Auto Guangzhou 2017, which indicated the ambition of SAIC to go further in NEV development. Roewe Ei5 will launch an entry-level model that provides a range of 251 km.

The electric vehicle and smart technology is a new unstoppable trend, thus SAIC with cutting-edge technology will put more efforts into NEV development and in-car technology upgrading. The Banma system in Roewe RX3 is an indicative result, which integrates the function of smart navigation, AI speech recognition, smart hardware access and sharing and remote car control, 360 security monitoring, smart payment in petrol station and parking lot.
