Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In August, the nationwide SUV sales in China dropped 4.7% to 742,100 units. For the first eight months, a total of around 6.01 million SUVs were handed over, a year-on-year growth of 6.2%, according to the data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

GAC Toyota's Highlander ranked 20th with its August sales jumping 32.4% from a year ago to 9,879 units. Since the Highlander refreshed model hit the market in March, its sales have been standing at over 9,000 units for 5 consecutive months.
