Great Wall Motor-backed Link Tour NEV brand to roll out 5 models by 2019
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The “Link Tour”, a new NEV brand under Link Tour Holdings, was formally launched on September 19. Meanwhile, the automaker unveiled the brand’s first all-electric SUV model named K-ONE, which will roll off the production line in October and hits the market in November.
Link Tour is a new car brand introduced by Link Tour Holdings, the proposed JV between Yogomo and Great Wall Motor. It plans to make two new car platforms covering two A0-segment models and three A00-segment models with the mileages ranging from 150km to 400km. Four out of the five new models support the battery swapping mode and one A0-segment model carries 3 portable battery packs.
Apart from the Link Tour K-ONE, the other four new models, named the Link Tour C3, C5, BX100 and S5 City Edition, will go on sale next year in succession. The Link Tour S5 City Edition shares the same development platform with the Link Tour K-ONE.
Positioned as a small-sized all-electric SUV model, the Link Tour K-ONE will be sold in four variants, offering three color options. Its front face features a massive intake grille and eagle-eye-typed halogen headlights embedded with LED daytime running lights. The blue body color accentuates the car’s NEV nature.
The Link Tour measures 4,100mm in length, 1,710mm in width and 1,595mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,520mm. Curb weight and gross weight for the EV model are 1,400kg and 1,775kg respectively. The 25/55R16 tires embrace two-tone multi-spoke rims.
At the rear end, the usage of blue and silver elements echo with that of the front end. Several horizontal lines deliver a sense of rich layering.
The model adopts two major colors, black and white, for its interior. Two circular mechanical instrument boards are outfitted with liquid crystal displays. Besides, the large-sized liquid crystal touch screen supports a number of applications, such as navigation system, bluetooth connection, weather query, mobile phone connectivity and video playing, etc.
The car also supplies various amenities to ensure a safe driving, including the ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), the ABRS (air bag restraint system), the TPMS (tire pressure monitor system), front and rear parking sensors as well as reversing camera.
The Link Tour K-ONE provides two variants of engine and battery packs based on different configurations. Two types of engines are able to generate maximum power of 45kW and 96kW, with corresponding peak torque of 170N·m and 230 N·m. Two kinds of ternary lithium battery packs, featuring maximum capacity of 40.55kW/h and 46.2kW/h, endow the vehicle with combined range up to 310km and 405km respectively under the NEDC (new European driving cycle).
