Geely unveils first hydrogen fuel cell bus F12

The F12 is Geely's first commercial vehicle that uses hydrogen fuel cell technology under Yuan Cheng Auto, a CV brand under the umbrella of GVC.

By virtue of world's leading hydrogen fuel cell stack technology, the F12 features an energy consumption of 7.5-kilogram hydrogen per 100km. The number has been approved by practical operation tests.

Meanwhile, the F12 is highly adapted to various climate conditions and landforms as the vehicle has passed tests in high-temperature and freezing environments and on plateaus.

Apart from hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicles, GVC said it will make joint efforts with partners to achieve 5G-based smart transportation that supports such applications as facial recognition for payment and suspects, real-time monitoring and vehicle-infrastructure cooperation.

As one of technical roadmaps for Geely's new energy powertrain system “Zhiqing”, hydrogen fuel cell technology is being researched by the automaker for PV application after it has been successfully used in F12 buses.

Thanks to lightweight design, the C11 pure electric intercity bus boasts lighter curb weight while the overall body structure has been further strengthened. It will be dedicated to offering citizens environmentally friendly mobility solutions, satisfying various operational demands like urban commuting, travel, and customized public transportation, etc.
