Startup Enovate to open first retail experience center in Shanghai

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese EV startup Enovate, previously known as Dearcc, is about to inaugurate it first retail experience center in Shanghai in the fourth quarter of the year as part of achievements for the EV maker's “365” full-scenario service system, according to local media outlets.

The startup has now decided the location for the yet-to-be-launched center and is working on the design business.

“We are striving to tap more automobile-based fields by innovating business model, so as to offer users a variety of experience in using and driving cars,” said Xiang Dongping, Chief Marketing Officer of Enovate.

The “365” full-scenario service system is designed to provide users with intelligent online services such as vehicle maintenance, charging, travelling and livelihood.

Aside from building its own experience center, the startup has also teamed up with some large-scale automobile dealerships like China Yongda Automobiles Services Holdings Limited to set up 100 authorized service spots in 22 cities across China.

Regarding the charging infrastructure planning, Enovate is ambitious to construct over 100 fast-charging stations in the future under joint efforts with a number of operators and platforms.

Besides, a joint venture focusing on R&D and production of EV battery system technologies jointly built by Enovate and Shanghai Electric Group Co.,Ltd (Shanghai Electric) was officially registered on June 25, 2019, according to the records posted on TianYanCha.com, a Chinese company information search platform.

The new JV, dubbed Shanghai Electric Group Battery Technology Co.,Ltd, involves a total registered capital of RMB135 million, which is 55% and 45% subscribed by Shanghai Electric and the EV startup.

According to TianYanCha, business scope of the JV extends to cover such areas as the development and transfer over technologies of automobile power battery system, power battery modules, auto parts and software, the consultation and other services about the aforesaid technologies as well as the installment and maintenance of power battery modules and computer software.
