Leading Ideal One 2020 to be delivered to consumers from early December

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- EV startup Leading Ideal (“Lixiang” in Chinese, formerly known as CHJ Automotive) began the presale of its first production model, the Leading Ideal One, in April at the Auto Shanghai, while the delivery was delayed by one month to December, 2019.

Before the original version is handed over to consumers, the all-new one, the Leading Ideal 2020, rolled off the production line at Changzhou plant on November 20. The startup said it would begin taking orders of the 2020 version in early December this year.

According to the details released last month, the 2020 version features a number of changes. An active grille shutter is added and the outer trim of the grille is plated with chrome. The headlights are improved to have better lighting effects. Other spotlights include Michelin Primacy tires and tailgate that can be locked intuitively. 

Besides, the EV maker has paid more attention to the six/seven-seater SUV’s second row. A single-layer privacy glass has been replaced with soundproof one with double layers. It also features two 12V power supply interfaces. The outside armrests of the second-row seats are removed from the six-seater variant.

The driver assist system  adopts new LCA (lane change assist) switch. Furthermore, the startup improves the luxury SUV’s comfortability through optimizing the suspension and braking systems.      

The Leading Ideal One draws attention of the public with its range-extended powertrain that offers the vehicle a NEDC-rated range of up to 800km.
