Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Lynk & Co's all-new coupe SUV, the Lynk & Co 05, will go on sale in March, Yang Xueliang, vice president of Geely Auto Group, said via a social platform.
The new model gets Lynk & Co family’s iconic exterior design language. Inside its big raised headlamps, waterfall-typed design is used, which makes them more delicate. Coupled with the large-sized intake, two prominent muscle lines in parallel on the engine hood, corresponding to the daytime running lights at both ends, render an aggressive stance.
The body side features typical coupe design and fancy belt lines as well as seemingly shutter design employed at the D-pillars to create a sense of sport. At the rear part, it is distinguished by two-row-arranged taillights which look harmonious with the spoiler line extending to both ends of the tail lamps.
The sporty interior is obviously different from the existing models under Lynk & Co with plenty of sharp angles and contrast stitching. Besides, the Lynk & Co 05 will come with D-shaped three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel and high-sensitivity touchscreen for the first time, along with the newly-designed electronic gear selector to make the internal space full of power.
The Lynk & Co 05 measures 4,592mm long, 1,879mm wide and 1,628mm high with a wheelbase spanning 2,734mm. Supported by the FlexRay electronic communications bus based on the CMA, the new model will carry up to 21 kinds of intelligent driver assistance systems. According to the previous application information, the new SUV will come with either a 1.5-litre or 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, delivering up to 180hp or 190 hp. It is also expected to be powered by Volvo’s 2.0TD engine that is able to pump out 254hp, mated with Aisin’s 8-speed automatic manual transmission (photo source: Lynk & Co).
