Weichai, Bosch sign cooperation framework agreement to develop fuel cell technology

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Today, Weichai Power announced that it had signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Robert Bosch on November 21 to lay foundation for their potential cooperation in forging world-leading industry chain of fuel cell technology and the cooperation in intelligent manufacturing field.

Weichai Power, headquartered in Weifang, Shandong Province, successfully build a new pattern of joint development consisting of four key sectors, powertrain (engines, transmissions and axles), vehicle engines, hydraulic control and auto parts. 

Under the cooperation framework agreement, the companies will set up globe-leading fuel cell vehicle technology innovation chain and supply chain to jointly develop and manufacture hydrogen fuel cell and relevant parts. In Industry 4.0, Bosch will help Weichai Power to establish world-advanced and China-leading digital sample factory to improve the factory’s intelligence and automation level.

Weichai Power said that from the intelligent manufacturing program with Bosch, it can gain advanced technology and experiences, thus improving the intelligence and automation level in production management system construction, cutting tool management, line balancing and global capacity balancing.
