Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Hongqi unveiled its first pure electric SUV, the E-HS3 at Auto China 2018. Recently, the patent image of the new model was unveiled. As a compact entry-level SUV, the new model will hit the market within this year.

Adopting Hongqi’s iconic design language, the E-HS3 looks elegant and noble with its large waterfall-typed intake grille decorated with chrome trims. It demonstrates an aggressive looking thanks to sharp headlights. Besides, it boasts smooth lines, well-rounded and dynamic waistlines, fashionable pulling-through tail lights and large spoiler, delivering a strong sporty sense.

As a compact entry-level SUV, the E-HS3 measures 4490mm in length, 1874mm in width and 1613mm in height. With a wheelbase of 2750mm, the model is more superb than the models in its same class. 

Adopting an all-new SUV iconic design language in its interior, the E-HS3 features high-tech double center consoles. It also offers one-key entrance and electronic brake. What’s more, the model boasts the highest intelligence level among models in its same class and can sprint from 0-100km/h in only 6 seconds.

The Hongqi E-HS3 will adopt the ternary lithium-ion battery researched and developed by itself, as well as an electric motor with a maximum power output of 114kW. However, the range of the new pure electric SUV remains unknown.
