Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The patent information of the WM EX5 was revealed on the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). According to the patent information, the WM EX5 was declared as Weikuo brand. What's more, part of WM models' information was also different from that was revealed previously by official WM Motor. The changes quickly stirred up heated discussion among consumers. Some consumers even withdrew their preorders.

From the patent information, the model's electric motor has a maximum power output of 125kW, 35kW less than that it revealed previously. It is noteworthy that three of the model’s five variants will adopt the batteries provided by Zhejiang Godsend Power Technology Co., Ltd. rather than CATL the company announced before.

According to the exposed pictures of the WM EX5, the model has a variant whose information keeps the same as the released patent information. Moreover, the model adopts relatively lower-end materials in its interior. Official website responded that the revealed product information is not the product model which will be delivered to customers in the second half of this year. In other words, the model is likely to be a model tailored for the sharing car market.
