Dongfeng Honda launches “seeing the future” NEV brand strategy

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Dongfeng Honda officially launched a strategic planning of new energy brand dubbed “Seeing the future” at the 2018 Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition. Meanwhile, the automaker showcased a product lineup including the ENVIX concept, the INSPIRE, the 2019 CR-V, the XR-V, the UR-V and so on.

It was the first public appearance for the ENVIX concept at the auto show. As the second new model after Dongfeng Honda’s brand upgrade, the ENVIX is designed to offer pleasant driving experience with spaciousness and comfort to consumers. It is expected that the new strategic model is going to hit the market in the first half of 2019.

The INSPIRE flagship model that went on sale at the end of October also attracted much attention by virtue of its masculine front face, spiffy side profile, dynamic fastback car roof as well as powerful rear end. With an elegant interior, the vehicle is fitted with such human-friendly amenities as large leather-covered seats, automatic dual-temperature air conditioner, sliding panoramic sunroof and multifunctional leather-covered steering wheel, etc.

The newly-launched “seeing future” NEV strategy says that Dongfeng Honda will possess over 10 electrified models over the next five years. The first BEV model, jointly developed by Dongfeng Honda and Honda Motor China Technology Co., Ltd, will make its premiere next year.
