Huawei plans to launch a series of level 3 applications based on the ADN-powered platform next year, in a bid to implement autonomous driving mobile network, according to Edward Deng, President of Huawei's Wireless Solution, who revealed at the At the 2019 Global Mobile Broadband Forum. These will include Site Express for auto-deployment and Alarm Turbo, and will greatly improve operation and maintenance efficiency, helping operators to reduce operating expense.

In Mid-October, Huawei appeared at the SDN NFV World Congress in 2019 themed “Evolving to an Autonomous Driving Network”, showing off its R&D fruit on the next-generation intelligent network architecture. This was also Huawei's debut of its autonomous driving network strategy.

According to a keynote speech delivered then by Yuan Bo, director of the Network Architecture Transformation Marketing Dept of Carrier BG, Huawei's autonomous driving network features a simplified architecture and intelligent O&M (operation & management). From wireless, transport and core networks to the edge cloud, its network architecture is fully simplified to provide a foundation for autonomous driving. Additionally, network O&M is more intelligent. For this piece, the company has launched iMaster intelligent O&M solutions that enable intelligent closed-loop O&M through intra-domain autonomy and cross-domain collaboration.
