Chery Group Targets 3.2 Million Vehicle Sales in 2026
On January 6, Chery Group unveiled its sales targets for 2026, setting a group-wide goal of 3.2 million vehicles, representing a 14.03% increase from 2025. Within that figure, Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., together with its five core brands, aims to deliver 3 million vehicles, up 14.01% year on year.
According to the company, Chery Group sold a total of 2,806,393 vehicles in 2025, marking a year-on-year increase of 7.8%. Chery Automobile accounted for 2,631,381 of those deliveries, up 8% from the previous year.
All-New AITO M7 Exceeds 70,000 Deliveries in 104 Days
On January 6, Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) announced that cumulative deliveries of the all-new AITO M7 have exceeded 70,000 units just 104 days after its market launch.
The latest-generation AITO M7 was officially launched on September 23, 2025, with a starting price of RMB 279,800. On the first day of sales, the model secured more than 40,000 firm orders.
As of November 4, 2025, total firm orders for the model had surpassed 90,000 units, and by December 5—72 days after launch—firm orders had climbed beyond 100,000 units, underscoring the sustained popularity of the all-new AITO M7 in the market.
CATL, NIO deepen alliance with new five-year strategic partnership
CATL announced on Jan. 6 that it had recently signed a five-year agreement with NIO Inc. in Hefei, Anhui province, to comprehensively deepen their strategic partnership.
Under the agreement, the two companies will strengthen collaboration across technology, ecosystem development and market expansion, with the aim of accelerating technological advancement and business model innovation in the new energy vehicle sector, while supporting Hefei's ambition to become a globally competitive NEV manufacturing hub.
