Gasgoo Munich- BYD Company Limited sold 403,472 vehicles in June 2026, representing a 5.46% increase from a year earlier and a 5.22% rise compared with May, according to its latest monthly sales results.
Passenger vehicle sales reached 397,292 units during the month, up 5.21% year on year and 5.39% from the previous month. Battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales edged down 2.62% year on year to 201,472 units, although they still posted a modest 1.41% month-on-month increase. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models continued to gain momentum, with sales climbing to 195,820 units. PHEVs accounted for 49.3% of BYD's passenger vehicle volume in June, marking growth of 14.69% from a year earlier and 9.82% from May.
Among BYD's brands and product lineups, the Dynasty and Ocean series remained the company's core volume drivers, with combined sales of 340,863 vehicles in June. The FANGCHENGBAO brand sold 35,607 units, while premium marques DENZA and YANGWANG recorded monthly sales of 20,352 and 470 vehicles, respectively.

One of the month's standout highlights was BYD's overseas performance. Exports of passenger vehicles and pickup trucks nearly doubled from a year earlier, surging 95% to 174,897 units.
BYD also sold 6,180 commercial vehicles in June, an increase of 24.67% compared with the same period last year, although sales slipped 4.38% from May.
For the first six months of the year, BYD reported total vehicle sales of 1,808,511 units, down 15.72% from the same period last year. Passenger vehicle sales totaled 1,777,375 units, a year-on-year decline of 15.89%, while commercial vehicle sales fell 4.73% to 31,136 units.
Despite the weaker first-half results, the June figures indicate that BYD maintained positive monthly momentum, supported by resilient domestic demand for PHEVs and accelerating growth in overseas markets.
