The interior design follows the signature style of the BYD Dynasty series, featuring a dual-tone color scheme of white and brown that exudes a sense of luxury and refinement. The dashboard showcases a three-screen layout: a large floating central touchscreen flanked by an embedded digital instrument cluster on one side and an entertainment screen for the front passenger on the other. Notably, the vehicle also includes a built-in armrest at the B-pillar, along with a ceiling-mounted entertainment screen, foldable tray tables, an in-car refrigerator, and dual sunroofs for both front and rear passengers.

The exterior design of the Xia adopts BYD's "Dragon Face" aesthetic, characterized by a bold and upright front end. The large grille features an intricate dragon scale pattern, flanked by sharp, eagle-eye LED headlights, giving the vehicle a sophisticated and dynamic appearance. A distinctive "Xia" logo is placed prominently on the central guard plate, emphasizing the model's identity.

In terms of dimensions, the Xia measures 5,145 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width, and 1,805 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,045 mm.
Under the hood, the new MPV is equipped with BYD's DM-i system, combining a 1.5T engine with an electric motor. The engine delivers a maximum power of 115 kW, while the electric motor can produce up to 200 kW. Two battery options are available: a 20.39 kWh pack offering a battery-powered range of 80 km, and a larger 36.628 kWh pack providing up to 145 km on battery power alone.
