Gasgoo Munich- According to a report by Gasgoo, Gotion High-Tech has officially entered the supply chain for Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA). A filing with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on June 10 shows the new all-electric AITO M6 is equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries produced by Yichun Gotion Battery Co., Ltd., marking Gotion's entry into the core lineup of HIMA vehicles.
Filing details show that Yichun Gotion supplied both the cells and battery packs for the new AITO M6. The vehicle measures 4,960 mm long, 1,985 mm wide, and 1,736 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. It comes in two curb weight versions—2,445 kg and 2,510 kg—targeting the mainstream family market. On May 29, Gotion appeared as a core partner in Huawei’s dedicated HIMA pavilion, showcasing joint R&D achievements on the Giant Whale battery platform. This platform serves as the energy backbone for all HIMA models, built on rigorous technical standards and a full-lifecycle quality management system. Leveraging its deep expertise in materials, cells, and packs, Gotion is using underlying technical innovation to help the Giant Whale platform deliver core values: high safety, extended range, fast charging, and long life.
Analysts believe the new LFP variant of the AITO M6 aims to balance safety, cost, and range, solidifying its position in the RMB 250,000 pure-electric SUV segment. Gotion secured the contract thanks to 20 years of technical accumulation and smart manufacturing capabilities in the LFP field, successfully securing a position in the supply chain for Huawei’s high-end vehicles.
HIMA is currently in a phase of expanding its model lineup and production scale. Public data shows sales for the alliance climbed 26.5% year-on-year in the first five months of 2026, with an annual target of 1 million to 1.3 million units. Against this backdrop, as Gotion deepens its R&D and product adaptation collaboration with Huawei, the company is poised to secure battery orders for multiple brands and models under the HIMA umbrella, further boosting its share of the high-end battery market.
Furthermore, Gotion is deepening its ties with other EV startups. Recent data from the Power Battery Application Branch of the China Chemical and Physical Power Industry Association reveals that from January to April, Gotion ranked as Leapmotor’s largest battery supplier, capturing a 32.2% share of installed capacity with a total exceeding 3 GWh. In terms of model coverage, Gotion has achieved full-range support across Leapmotor’s lineup and price points, covering eight key models including the C16, C11, C10, and B10. This completes a comprehensive supply chain span from entry-level vehicles to mid-to-high-end SUVs priced around RMB 200,000.
