Gasgoo Munich-On March 3, iCAR and Horizon held a joint intelligent driving technology launch. They unveiled the iCAR V27. It is the first mass-production model equipped with Horizon SuperDrive™️ (HSD), a full-scenario assisted driving system.

The iCAR V27 is powered by Horizon's Journey 6P chip, delivering 560 TOPS of computing power. It is paired with 27 high-precision sensors, including LiDAR. Built on Horizon's proprietary BPU Nash architecture, the chip is optimized for Transformer large model inference. The system employs a one-stage end-to-end architecture to achieve low-latency processing from perception input to trajectory output.

Official data indicates the system reacts 42% faster than the average human driver. By deeply coupling lateral and longitudinal controls, it cuts sudden braking and "snaking" motions by over 90%. Trained on vast amounts of data mimicking professional chauffeurs, the system is designed with defensive driving capabilities.
Combining the one-stage end-to-end architecture with a Vision Language Model (VLM), HSD offers map-free generalization, allowing it to interpret complex road markings like tidal lanes and tandem U-turns.

The vehicle also supports a "roaming mode" for autonomous path planning without active navigation. During night tests in Chongqing's Hongya Cave district, it navigated narrow alleys and complex tunnels. In Beijing's rush hour and on mountain roads in Lijiang, it maintained stable car-following. It also managed automatic lane changes and cruising on unpaved surfaces. For parking, the official success rate stands at 97%, with an average parking time of 32 seconds.

The iCAR V27 is set to launch nationwide on March 13. This marks the first mass-production application of Horizon's HSD in the rugged, boxy SUV segment.
To date, Horizon HSD has secured design wins with 10 global automakers across more than 20 models. Previously, the first vehicles equipped with the system — the Exeed ET5 and Deepal L06 — saw over 25,000 intelligent driving activations within eight weeks of launch.
