Joyson's L4 controller targets low-speed autonomous logistics vehicles. Built on a domestic chip platform, it is on track for mass production. It may be the first domestic product of its kind. The company partners with local chipmakers like Horizon Robotics and Black Sesame Technologies. They aim to deliver reliable solutions for restricted scenarios.
Public records show Joyson has secured orders in recent years. In 2025, the company secured a project worth over 15 billion CNY. The project involves a cross-domain central computing unit for a top-tier automaker. Production will ramp up in 2027. The upcoming production of L3 and L4 controllers will complete the company's portfolio. It ranges from Level 2 to Level 4 autonomous technologies.
Industry observers suggest China's L3 policies are accelerating system commercialization. Joyson's production of these products demonstrates its technical capabilities. It also positions the domestic supply chain for a breakthrough in passenger and commercial unmanned sectors.
