Gasgoo Munich- Leapmotor has entered Argentina with the B10 and C10, introducing two range-extended SUVs as it broadens its presence in South America, according to a post on the company's WeChat account.
The Chinese automaker is using Stellantis' established distribution and service infrastructure to support the rollout, combining its own vehicle technology with the multinational group's local operating resources. Argentina becomes another market in which the partners are using existing Stellantis facilities to accelerate Leapmotor's overseas expansion.
Both vehicles will initially be offered in range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) form. In this configuration, an electric motor drives the wheels, while a gasoline engine operates as a generator to recharge the battery when required rather than providing mechanical propulsion.
The approach gives drivers an EV-like experience while reducing their dependence on public charging infrastructure, an important consideration in markets where charging networks remain uneven. It represents a transitional form of electrification rather than fully zero-emission mobility, but can make electric driving more practical for customers who frequently travel long distances.
Leapmotor develops key vehicle systems internally, including electric drives, electrical and electronic architectures, digital cockpits and assisted-driving technologies. That vertical integration allows the company to adapt vehicle configurations for different markets without changing the core platform.
Choosing REEV versions for Argentina reflects this market-specific strategy. Rather than relying exclusively on battery-electric vehicles, Leapmotor is positioning the B10 and C10 around local driving patterns and infrastructure conditions.

The partnership with Stellantis gives Leapmotor immediate access to an established national dealer network, standardized service procedures and local market expertise. These resources address one of the principal challenges facing newer Chinese brands overseas: building customer support and parts availability alongside vehicle sales.
The arrangement also allows Leapmotor to enter Argentina with a broader retail and after-sales footprint than it could likely establish independently during an initial market launch.
Leapmotor's initial network comprises 12 sales outlets and 20 dedicated after-sales locations across major Argentine cities. The retail sites operate within existing Stellantis dealerships but include Leapmotor-branded areas, vehicle demonstrations, test drives and locally tailored financing services.
The 20 service locations will provide Stellantis' e-Expert support for electrified vehicles. Leapmotor owners will also be able to obtain basic maintenance and emergency assistance, including roadside towing, through more than 300 Stellantis-brand service outlets nationwide.
Parts support will be handled by Stellantis' Mopar brand. A large local distribution center will stock and dispatch original components, with the aim of shortening repair times and reducing the delays that can affect newly introduced brands without established domestic parts inventories.
This service infrastructure could be as important as the vehicles themselves in determining Leapmotor's reception, particularly as Argentine customers assess the long-term ownership experience of a relatively unfamiliar brand.

Leapmotor began accelerating its overseas expansion in 2023 and has since extended its product, engineering, manufacturing and service activities into a growing number of markets. Its international strategy increasingly combines locally selected powertrains with Stellantis-backed retail and after-sales operations.
