NIO completes battery swap station deployment along 9 major east-west expressways in China

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 30, NIO announced that it has now completed its extensive battery-swapping network along 7 north-south and 9 east-west expressways, as well as across 12 major metropolitan clusters in China. The milestone follows the activation of battery-swapping networks along the G80 Guangzhou-Kunming Expressway and the Zhejiang-Hunan section of the G56 Hangzhou Ruili Expressway.

With this addition, all nine east-west battery-swapping expressway networks are now operational, including the G6 Beijing–Lhasa Expressway in the Beijing-Inner Mongolia section, the G20 Qingdao–Yinchuan, the G30 Lianyungang–Khorgas Expressway in the Jiangsu-Gansu section, the G40 Shanghai–Xi'an Expressway, the G42 Shanghai–Chengdu Expressway, the G50 Shanghai–Chongqing Expressway, the G60 Shanghai–Kunming Expressway in the Shanghai-Guizhou section, the G80 Guangzhou–Kunming Expressway, and the Zhejiang-Hunan section of the G56 Hangzhou-Ruili Expressway.

Spanning 1,386 kilometers, the G80 Guangzhou–Kunming Expressway features 14 NIO battery-swapping stations and serves as a key artery linking Guangdong, Guangxi, and Yunnan provinces, connecting Guangdong, Guangxi, and China's southwestern regions.

The Zhejiang-Hunan section of the G56 Hang-Ruili Expressway, extending 1,339 kilometers from Hangzhou to the Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, includes 15 battery-swapping stations across Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei, and Hunan provinces, forming a vital link between Central and South China.

To date, NIO has established 2,602 battery-swapping stations across China, including 868 located along expressways, underscoring its commitment to creating a seamless electric mobility network nationwide.
