Gasgoo Munich- Momenta, XHEART and QNX, a division of BlackBerry Limited, have formed a partnership to develop a physical AI automated-driving platform built on the QNX® OS for Safety and designed to meet global safety standards, according to a post Momenta issued on August 19 via its WeChat account.

The production-ready solution integrates Momenta's full-stack automated-driving technology, XHEART's automotive-grade X7 system-on-chip (SoC) and the QNX OS for Safety, which is built on QNX® Software Development Platform 8.0.
The partners aim to provide global automakers with a platform that can accelerate the deployment of intelligent-driving technology while meeting international functional-safety requirements.
The solution has received TÜV Rheinland certification to ISO 26262 ASIL D, the highest functional-safety level under the standard. It is intended to provide a safety foundation for OEMs developing intelligent vehicles for tightly regulated markets, including models designed to comply with Europe's UN Regulation No. 171 governing Driver Control Assistance Systems (DCAS).
Momenta Senior Vice President Sun Huan said safety must be the foundation for deploying physical AI at scale worldwide. He added that the production-ready solution developed with XHEART and QNX is designed to help automakers enter international markets with a platform built to stringent safety standards.
Grant Courville, Senior Vice President of Products and Strategy at QNX, said Momenta and XHEART are advancing the next generation of physical AI, with QNX providing the certified operating-system foundation. He said the partnership further strengthens QNX's position as a trusted foundational software provider for automated-driving systems.
XHEART CEO Li Zonglin said AI-native computing will be essential to bringing next-generation automated-driving technology into production. By combining the X7 SoC with the certified QNX operating system and Momenta's algorithms, the partners intend to offer automakers a solution combining high performance, functional safety and scalability.
