Back on March 20, Gasgoo reported that the Shanghai Stock Exchange had formally accepted Unitree Technology Co., Ltd.'s application for an initial public offering on the STAR Market.

The company aims to raise 4.202 billion yuan in the IPO. Proceeds will fund four key initiatives: intelligent robot model research, robot body development, new product creation, and the construction of a manufacturing base. These investments are designed to deepen technological innovation and scale up production operations.

Unitree's financial trajectory shows a steady ascent. Revenue climbed from 123 million yuan in 2022 to 159 million yuan in 2023, then surged to 392 million yuan last year, and reached 1.708 billion yuan in 2025. Net profit followed a similar upward curve, swinging from a loss of 22.1 million yuan in 2022 to a deficit of 11.15 million yuan in 2023, before turning profitable with 94.5 million yuan and ultimately hitting 288 million yuan in 2025.

According to the prospectus, cumulative sales of Unitree's quadruped robots surpassed 30,000 units during the reporting period, cementing the company's leading position in the global market for four-legged machines.

In 2022, quadruped robots accounted for 76.57% of total revenue, with 2,403 units sold at an average price of 38,600 yuan. By the first three quarters of 2025, however, sales volume had jumped to 17,946 units, even as their share of revenue slipped to 42.25%.
