Gasgoo Munich- On March 13, the government of Zhejiang Province signed a new round of strategic cooperation agreements with Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, reinforcing a long-term partnership aimed at strengthening the province's automotive industry and accelerating technological innovation.

Geely Holding plays a central role in Zhejiang's automotive industrial ecosystem, serving as a key anchor enterprise within the province's vehicle and components supply chain. The provincial government first formalized a strategic framework agreement with the company in 2022, focusing on deeper government–industry collaboration to accelerate digital transformation and promote greener manufacturing across the automotive value chain. Since then, the partnership has contributed to a range of initiatives aimed at upgrading the region's industrial capabilities.
Under the renewed framework, the two sides plan to deepen cooperation in technological innovation and industrial development, with the broader goal of building a globally competitive manufacturing cluster for automobiles and auto components in Zhejiang. The agreement highlights plans to combine the province's strengths in business environment, industrial infrastructure, and resource allocation with Geely's capabilities in intelligent manufacturing, new energy vehicle technologies, and smart connectivity.
By expanding the scope and depth of collaboration, the partnership is expected to support the transition of Zhejiang's automotive sector toward higher-end, more intelligent, and environmentally sustainable production, further contributing to the region's ambitions for high-quality manufacturing growth.
