Several of the jointly developed features, described by the companies as industry firsts, will be introduced in the DENZA N8, a five-seat SUV. The model's large-screen smart cockpit supports deep integration with screen mirroring and a floating-window interface on its 30-inch display, working with the vivo X Fold 6 to enhance the smartphone-car connectivity experience. The partnership will also introduce an NFC tap-to-connect function, allowing users to connect a vivo smartphone to the vehicle with a simple tap and seamlessly transfer apps between devices. Powered by AI agents, the system enables users to activate the "Hello, DENZA" voice assistant to check and create calendar events, make payments and navigate across devices without switching between the vehicle's infotainment system and their phones.

AI-Powered Cross-Device Integration and Smartphone-Car Connectivity

BYD and vivo began their partnership in 2019 and have since introduced several joint solutions, including in-car fast charging, digital car keys, smartphone-car connectivity and AI cross-device integration. In-car fast charging and digital car keys have entered mass production, while smartphone-car connectivity is available on selected models across BYD's brands. Their jointly developed screen-mirroring feature made its overseas debut at the Paris Motor Show in October.
As the partnership evolves, the two companies are moving beyond basic connectivity toward deeper AI cross-device integration. Their collaboration connects BYD's AI super agent "Didi Xia" with vivo's AI assistant "Xiao V," aiming to shift intelligent interactions from responding to commands to proactively providing services and completing tasks across devices.

From Basic Connectivity to AI Collaboration

BYD said the partnership with vivo is an important part of its open ecosystem strategy, which positions the vehicle as a hub connecting smart devices across different scenarios. The two companies plan to deepen their joint AI development and accelerate the overseas rollout of related technologies, aiming to provide global users with a seamless, connected AI-powered mobility experience.
