A total of 807,000 automobiles were sold in Anhui Province in the first 11 months of this year, representing a year-on-year increase of 41.1%, according to statistics from the Anhui Economic and Information Technology Commission.
The industry output value surged 39.65% to RMB 101.97 billion in the 11-month period, and the industry value added amounted to RMB 25.89 billion.
The strong sales growth was mainly boosted by local brands, such as Chery, Anhui Jianghuai, Anhui Xingma.
Chery Automobile Co Ltd, based in Wuhu, Anhui Province, sold a total of 436,300 autos during the period from January to November, including 107,000 units of 1.5-liter CVT and A5.
In the same period, sales revenue of Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co Ltd totaled RMB 21.1 billion, up 25% from a year earlier, and its sales volume soared 49.7% year on year to hit 297,000 units.
Anhui Xingma Automobile Co Ltd sold 6,507 special purpose vehicles in Jan-Nov and reaped RMB 2.7 billion in sales revenue.
Anhui Hualing Automobile Co Ltd produced 17,725 heavy trucks and sold 16,808 units during the period, with sales revenue reaching RMB 3.63 billion.
