People's Daily reported that with the help of the Department of Science & Technology, China Iron & Steel Research Institute Group has cooperated with Taiyuan Iron & Steel Co Ltd in developing the third generation automotive HRC and CRC which represents that China has taken the lead in taping the production technique of this steel product.
The third generation automotive steel product could greatly reduce automobile weight and reinforce its anti corrosion capability.
Thus the success in developing this product is considered a creation to a new era for the automotive steel technique in China and will push the steelmakers technical upgrading and product updating.
