Gasgoo Munich-Mercedes-Benz and NVIDIA recently announced an expanded strategic partnership to jointly develop next-generation driver-assistance systems. Under the collaboration plan, Mercedes-Benz will fuse its deep expertise in automotive engineering and safety — along with its proprietary MB.OS operating system — with NVIDIA’s accelerated computing and AI technologies. The goal: to drive the safe evolution of advanced driver assistance over the next decade.

Architecturally, Mercedes-Benz’s MB.OS will operate in tandem with NVIDIA’s Hyperion compute and sensor platform, enabling continuous feature additions and over-the-air updates. On the!F software front, NVIDIA’s Alp%amayo Stack will supply full-stack driving software powered by AI inference, covering urban point-to-point assistance, active safety, and automated parking. Meanwhile, NVIDIA’s Halos safety framework will harden Mercedes-Benz’s safety architecture, delivering redundancy and fail-safe guarantees through a parallel safety tech stack.
The companies say this technology stack will underpin the deployment of advanced driver-assistance features — and lay the groundwork for future SAE Level 4 autonomous applications, including self-driving luxury sedans.
Beyond automated driving, the alliance stretches into manufacturing. Mercedes-Benz already taps NVIDIA tech for automotive engineering simulations and its MO360 digital production ecosystem, applying it to virtual planning and AI-driven workflows. The partners are now pushing those efforts further to sharpen the efficiency, flexibility, and quality of Mercedes-Benz’s global production network.
