
Shanghai September 10 (Gasgoo.com) China's auto exports in January to August reached 336,100 vehicles, up 80.01% from a year earlier. In August alone, 47,200 vehicles were exported, up 1.47% month on month and up 115% year on year, according to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
The country's passenger vehicles had better export performance than its commercial vehicles in August. In the January to August period, export volume of the top five automakers occupied 56.27% of China's total exports.
Of the top five, Chery Auto exported 57,300 vehicles, up 173% from the same period last year, followed by Changan Auto, Great Wall Motor, Dongfeng Motor and Beijing Auto which exported 40,600 units (up 56.64%), 37,700 units (up 89.16%), 29,300 units (up 130%), 24,100 units (up 34.95%), respectively.
