The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers announced that the country's import value for auto components totaled US$1.87 billion in November 2009, reflecting a month-on-month increase of 11.84% and a year-on-year increase of 57.09%, sources reported.
In November, China imported 59,000 engines worth US$169 million in total. The import volume swelled 16.79% month on month and grew 14.64% year on year, while the import value was 16.20% higher than a month earlier and was 10.57% higher than in the same month of 2008.
Both auto and motorcycle's tire imports value declined 17.88% month on month or decreased 6.02% year on year, amounting to US$26.14 million.
China exported US$2.83 billion worth of auto components in November, including US$70 million worth of engines and US$636 million worth of tires for autos and motorcycles.
