Citroën sells 42000 vehicles in January

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai February 12) - French automaker Citroën, who sells its cars in China via its partnership with the Wuhan-based Dongfeng Motor Corporation, announced January mainland sales of 42,000 vehicles, the Hubei Daily reported today. The sales result not only sets a new monthly record, but also marks the third consecutive month the automaker sold over 40,000 cars in the country. Citroën's earnings for the month were reported to be over 4.2 billion yuan ($638m), increasing 12% from last January.

Among the automaker's Chinese lineup, the C4 compact (pictured above) sold the most last month, with a total of 12,586 sales completed. Meanwhile, the C5 mid-size (pictured below) continued to gain market approval, with steady sales of 3,555 units.
