Shanghai. August 17 (Gasgoo.com) - Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile (DPCA) is planning to add new capacity to its subsidiary Dongfeng Hangzhou Motor Co by the end of this year, China’s official Xinhua News Agency reported today.
Under DPCA’s expansion plan, a total of 300,000 sedans will be produced annually at its subsidiary in Hangzhou. Meanwhile, Hangzhou municipal government will provide 2 million to 10 million yuan ($260,000 to $1,310,000) to fund the project.
Hangzhou and its nearby Xiaoshan Economic and Technological Development Zone will complete construction of a new industrial park to attract investment from more auto manufacturers, according earlier media reports.
