Gasgoo Munich- On Nov. 5, the 9th China International Import Expo officially opened in Shanghai, with Ford Motor showcasing its Ford and Lincoln brands in Hall H7.2. This marks the automaker's ninth consecutive appearance at the event since the first expo in 2018.

The highlight of this year's show is a strategic upgrade for Ford China: shifting its business philosophy from "In China, For China" to "In China, For Global" by exporting locally developed R&D and manufacturing achievements. The new all-electric Ford Transit City commercial vehicle rolled off the line in August. Developed jointly by Ford China, local supply chains, and global engineering teams, the model is planned for export to 52 countries and regions across five continents.

The Ford Smart Fun Bronco, the Bronco family's first new-energy model, is another representative product of Sino-foreign collaboration. Positioned as an all-terrain camping SUV, it offers both pure electric and extended-range powertrain options.
The booth also featured key models including the classic Ford Bronco, the new Ford Explorer, Lincoln Aviator, and Lincoln Navigator.
Ford unveiled its "Four-Level Wilderness" outdoor product matrix. Leveraging outdoor theme parks in Jining and Liuzhou, the automaker partnered with Qunar to launch custom off-road travel routes, building out an outdoor mobility ecosystem. Lincoln, meanwhile, focused on its "comfortable" luxury positioning, launching the "Lincoln Sanctuary" experience track within the Liuzhou park, complete with multiple luxury self-driving routes.
During the expo, both Ford and Lincoln also updated their purchase incentives.
Separately, Ford China indicated that the Chinese market has been integrated into Ford's global innovation and manufacturing system. The automaker is leveraging local supply chains to develop new-energy vehicles tailored to domestic needs, while using its global channels to push these locally developed models overseas—effectively using local capabilities to fuel global business.
