Gasgoo Munich- Guang Gu Dong Zhi officially unveiled the latest addition to its "Photon Robot Family" on February 6: the Lumen S1.
Standing 1.3 meters tall and weighing 35 kilograms, the Lumen S1 features more than 40 degrees of freedom across its body. Its joints deliver a peak torque of 120 N·m, enabling a top walking speed of 1.8 meters per second. Powered by a 500 Wh battery with fast-charging support, the robot operates for over two hours on a single charge.
Equipped with lidar, RGB-D cameras, a multi-vision system, and head touch sensors, the Lumen S1 boasts robust multi-dimensional perception. This allows for smooth locomotion and precise obstacle avoidance across various dynamic environments. Beyond movement, the robot supports precise voice interaction and features over 100 built-in facial expressions. With a microphone array and bionic continuous memory, it can perceive and respond to user emotions.
The Lumen S1 also supports customization of both appearance and functionality, allowing for flexible adaptation to different industries and application scenarios with tailored solutions.
Currently, the Lumen S1 is deployed in scenarios such as elderly care and commercial exhibitions.

Established in February 2025, Guang Gu Dong Zhi is a joint venture formed by HEC, Shanghai AGIBOT, the Peking University Wuhan Artificial Intelligence Institute, and PsiBot. It stands as the first humanoid robot manufacturer in central China with fully independent capabilities in production, R&D, and delivery services.
Guided by the mission to "bridge the last mile from humanoid robot hardware to real-world application," Guang Gu Dong Zhi aims to bring robots into homes, factories, and retail spaces.
To advance this goal, the company has rolled out several models in the "Lumen" series, including the H1 and Q1. Since the start of 2025, it has delivered more than 100 units, finding use in research, education, guided tours, and entertainment.
Meanwhile, the company's healthcare and companion robot is undergoing deep testing and is slated for deployment in 2026.
Guang Gu Dong Zhi has also established Hubei province's first robotics factory. The first phase has an annual capacity of 300 units, while a second phase scheduled for 2026 will push production capacity beyond 1,000 units.
