MAN Trucks, the world's third largest truck manufacturer said it will pin more importance on its cooperative project with Sinotruck, and may further inject capital into the latter, according to reports from the Caijing.com.cn Friday.
"Though at the moment we are focusing on the project, it is likely for us to further increase capital in Sinotruck," said Georg Pachta, CEO of MAN.
"MAN has seen the great potential in the Chinese market for trucks, and we plan to increase the procurement in the country through collaborations with Sinotruck," added Georg.
In 2009, MAN invested 560 million euros ($713.3 million) into Sinotruck, buying into 25 percent plus one share stake in the company.
