Statistics from the National Automotive Industry Association showed that sales of self-owned brand vehicles were 449,700 in the first four months this year, representing 29.31 percent of total China-made sedan sales. In the domestic market, self-brand vehicles came to the top in terms of market shares, which is 3.21 percent higher than that of Japanese generation autos.
Sales of self-brand cars were 116,200 units in April, taking 28.22% of the total, followed by Japan (26.88%), Germany (20.44%), American (14.07%), Korea (5.56%), French (4.52%) and Italia (0.31%) –generation vehicles. Xiali, Familia, F3 and QQ maintained stable growth in the self-brand sedan market, while Camry and Accord led in the mid-high range auto market.
The top ten hot-selling sedan brands were Santana, Excelle, Jetta, Camry, Xiali, QQ, Familia, Accord, Elantra, Passat GP. A total of 507,900 vehicles of the above ten brands were sold during the first four months, representing 33.10% of the total.
