Gasgoo.com (Shanghai March 27) - BMW China Automotive Trading and Brilliance BMW have sent a report to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine for the recall of imported and domestically made 5 and 6 Series models in China, auto.sohu.com reported today. The recall is being made in accordance to the Provisions on the Administration of Recall of Defective Auto Products, and will target 5 and 6 Series models manufactured between May 2003 and September 2010. 120,246 vehicles in China are reportedly affected. The recall will begin on May 10.
Mar. 29 , 2012Gasgoo.com (Shanghai March 26) - A team of six German Volkswagen workers have recently finished inspection of the surrounding infrastructure of Shanghai VW's upcoming production site in Xinjiang's capital of Ürümqi, Xinhua reported today. According to staff from the Ürümqi Economic and Technological Development Zone, construction on the Shanghai VW factory, which has an expected annual production capacity of 50,000 vehicles, will begin within the year.
