Dongfeng Nissan to expand engine production with new factory

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai August 4) - Dongfeng Nissan will begin construction of its second engine factory in Henan's capital of Zhengzhou, the Beijing Times reported today. The joint venture held a ceremony for the news, with Dongfeng Nissan's President Matsumoto Fumiaki among those in attendance. Mr. Matsumoto announced that the joint venture's production capability will increase from 480,000 units to 1 million by next year.

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai August 2) - Guangzhou-based GAC Motor will begin selling the 1.8 L version of its upcoming own brand car, the Trumpchi, in September of this year, the Guangzhou Daily reported today.
