Developed based on the needs of automakers, factories, and end users, ModuTec uses a modular architecture to streamline manufacturing and support automation. By integrating offline pre-assembled modules into the main assembly line, the system reduces seat assembly time from minutes to seconds. This shift accelerates automation upgrades and helps manufacturers reduce costs while increasing efficiency.
In contrast to the complex, labor-intensive nature of traditional seat manufacturing, ModuTec offers seven advantages: higher assembly efficiency, a streamlined production flow, and reduced factory footprints through automation. It also enhances ride comfort, integrates modules and components efficiently, and improves process quality and warranty standards. Furthermore, the system simplifies after-sales maintenance and future functional upgrades.
The launch of ModuTec marks a new era of modular manufacturing for the seating industry and demonstrates Adient's focus on driving change through innovation. By providing automakers with flexible, efficient solutions, the system improves the driving and riding experience for end users.
