Anhui Quanchai’s diesel engine exports soar 174% in H1

Shanghai, July 30 (Gasgoo.com) Anhui Quanchai Engine Co., Ltd., a well-known manufacturer of multi-cylinder and single cylinder diesel engines in China, saw a year-on-year growth of 174% in the export of its multi-cylinder engines in the first half of this year, media reported recently.

Quanchai’s total exports for the first six months of the year reached $11 million, with products being exported to Southeast Asia, Europe, Africa, etc.. In 2008, Quanchai started research and development of the 4B1, 4B2, 4D1 and 4D2 engines that adopted the high-pressure common rail system, the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) as well as the gas disposal system.

In June this year, the 4B1 and 4B2 engines, two National IV engines, after successfully ignited, had both been launched to the market. Meanwhile, Quanchai initiated a high-quality casting project with a total investment of 410 million yuan and a four- and six-cylinder automatic processing line project with an investment of 100 million yuan, aiming to enhance its competitiveness in the global market.

At present, Quanchai has an annual production capacity of approximately 250,000 sets of multi-cylinder diesel engines and 500,000 sets of single-cylinder diesel engines that are used as power units for electric power generators, transportation vehicles, tractors, water pumps, forklifts, agricultural machinery and construction machinery.
