Gasgoo Munich- German supplier AUMOVIO is a veteran of the Chinese market with over 30 years of history. It has officially launched its second self-developed production line for sixth-generation millimeter-wave radars. The facility is located in Loutang Town within the Jiading Industrial Zone. It went online recently, according to an August 6 report by Gasgoo citing the "Shanghai Jiading" WeChat account.

The new line was built in just six months. It represents a deep localization overhaul across three core areas: production line design, equipment manufacturing, and the supply chain. Previously, AUMOVIO adhered to a "German pace," importing full equipment sets from Germany. This process typically dragged on for a year from planning to launch.

This shift is driven by two factors, according to Yao Linhong, director of factory operations for AUMOVIO’s Autonomous Driving & Mobility Business Group. First, China’s capacity for high-end manufacturing continues to rise. Second, the rapid pace of iteration in the Chinese auto industry demands that production capacity keep step with market needs.

The upgrade is a systemic reconstruction of the entire chain. From blueprint design to on-site installation and commissioning, the local team executed every step independently at the Jiading plant. With the new addition, AUMOVIO’s two sixth-generation radar lines in Loutang Town now have a combined annual capacity exceeding 4 million units. Overall equipment utilization has stabilized above 85%.
