Gasgoo Munich-AUMOVIO Group's User Experience Business Group in China recently achieved the first mass delivery of a new-size automotive HUD in the country. This product represents the largest TFT-based HUD among the company's mass-produced offerings to date, marking progress in the engineering and scaling of large-size HUDs.

The mass-produced unit is built on a new-size TFT PGU solution, utilizing a folded long-backlight design developed in-house by the local team to improve screen brightness uniformity. Paired with an optical system optimized for large formats, the product achieves a virtual image distance of approximately 4.5 meters and a resolution exceeding 150 PPD (pixels per degree), aiming to enhance display clarity and visual immersion. Simulation tests in real-world traffic scenarios confirm the unit presents key road information with greater clarity and stability.
Notably, the National Automotive Standardization Technical Committee published GB/T 46926, "Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Light Vehicle Vision Assistance Systems," on December 31, 2025, establishing clearer requirements for HUD functional safety. AUMOVIO incorporated these standards during the project's development and completed functional safety design and verification to mitigate potential risks such as strong light interference and nighttime glare.
During execution, AUMOVIO adopted mechanisms including parallel development and production launch, early-stage manufacturing verification, full-process quality system integration, and rapid supply chain response. Through multiple rounds of verification and process optimization, the company ensured performance stability in mass production. AUMOVIO stated that this experience has created a replicable delivery capability, laying the groundwork for future large-scale deliveries of complex projects.
