Gasgoo Munich- Axera Semiconductor and BlackBerry's QNX unit unveiled a production-ready intelligent driving platform on August 6. The joint solution has already secured design wins from several domestic automakers, with commercialization and mass production slated to begin later this year.

Built on Axera's latest M57 series chips and the QNX operating system, the platform fuses safety-certified software with high-performance AI inference hardware. It addresses the industry's shift toward "software-defined vehicles," balancing cost control, functional safety, performance, and scalability.
As a critical component of this transition, the smart front-view solution powers core functions like object detection and collision avoidance. That demands a platform capable of high-performance AI processing with deterministic behavior and real-time latency.
Both companies bring deep experience in ADAS. Axera ranks among China's key semiconductor suppliers for Level 2 assisted driving, while QNX technology has long underpinned safety systems across most global OEMs.
Building on this partnership, QNX plans to release a version of its SDP 8.0 platform tailored to Axera's flagship high-performance smart driving SoC. This lays the groundwork for advanced driving and cockpit-driving integration solutions, as both companies aim to drive the global evolution of intelligent vehicles through coordinated software and chip development.
